Welcome! Thank you for visiting my web-page. The following is a brief summary of the way I approach therapy.
Therapy is a way of discovering aspects of our lives that are repressed or hidden from our conscious view. Often times, unconscious material affects our daily lives and the people we love the most. We have a wonderful ability to overcome our difficulties, however, during times of great trial the usual friend's or family advice may not seem enough. During these difficult times, I believe therapy is an opportunity to be heard.
I believe my job as a therapist is to listen, give feedback and provide you with opportunities of clarity. I don't profess to have all the answers. I believe you have all the knowledge and understanding within yourself. Through therapy, we work together to unlock your ability to gain personal insight and understanding to those areas that are unclear.
One way to acquire personal clarity is through dreamwork. I encourage my clients to keep a dream journal. You can learn alot about yourself by analyzing night dreams or day fantasies. Who are the major people or places in your dreams? What items are present? How do you feel in your dreams? All of these questions give increased insight into your life.
